University Student in Dehong Seeks Friendship

Hello everyone! My name is Wei, and I'm a second-year undergraduate student at Dehong University. I love exploring the beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Dehong. One of my favorite pastimes is hiking through the lush forests and admiring the stunning variety of Orchidaceae, which can be found in abundance here. These beautiful flowers not only add color to the environment but also symbolize elegance and grace in Chinese culture.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I am deeply involved in the university’s environmental club, where we work on projects to promote sustainability and environmental awareness. Recently, we organized a clean-up drive in a local park, which was both rewarding and eye-opening. It’s amazing to see how small actions can make a big difference in our community.

When I’m not out in nature or working on projects, I like to cook traditional Yunnan dishes. Cooking is a great way to relax and connect with my roots. I often host dinner parties for my friends, where we share stories and create lasting memories. One of my specialties is Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodles (过桥米线), a dish known for its rich broth and delicate flavors.
