Life in Zhaotong: A University Student’s Journey

Hello everyone! My name is Li Wei, and I am a second-year student at Zhaotong University. Life here is bustling and full of new experiences, from the vibrant campus to the rich cultural heritage of this historic city. I’m passionate about technology and aspire to become a software engineer one day. In my free time, I enjoy exploring local bookstores, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and hiking in the nearby mountains. Recently, I visited the Dangdang Bookstore and found some interesting reads on AI and machine learning that have inspired me to dive deeper into these fields.

Zhaotong University

Zhaotong has a unique blend of modern amenities and traditional charm. The city is known for its delicious local cuisine, particularly the spicy noodles and fried rice. On weekends, I often visit the night market to try different street foods and meet new people. One of my favorite spots is the Old Town, where you can walk along ancient streets and admire the beautiful architecture. The people here are incredibly friendly and always ready to strike up a conversation.

Studying at Zhaotong University has been an enriching experience. The faculty is dedicated and supportive, and there are numerous clubs and organizations to get involved in. I joined the Computer Science Club, where we work on projects, attend workshops, and sometimes even organize hackathons. These activities have not only enhanced my technical skills but also helped me build a strong network of like-minded individuals.

Beyond academics, Zhaotong University encourages students to engage in community service. Last month, I volunteered at a local orphanage, helping the children with their homework and organizing fun activities. It was a rewarding experience that reminded me of the importance of giving back to the community.

If you ever find yourself in Zhaotong, I highly recommend visiting the Dragon Lake Park. It’s a peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature. On sunny days, you can see families picnicking, couples taking romantic strolls, and groups of friends playing frisbee. It’s a perfect spot to reflect on life and appreciate the beauty around us.

I am looking to connect with fellow students and professionals who share similar interests or are simply curious about life in Zhaotong. Whether you want to discuss tech trends, share travel stories, or just chat over a cup of coffee, I would love to hear from you. Let’s make some great memories together and support each other’s journeys. Connect twice, friend forever with 2friend!
